Scoped does web design differently. Although I do have my preference for fresh builds, I can help you with your existing website no matter the platform. For new sites, my approach is to build your site with the future in mind. Plainly put, I want you to have options. I include training in all new websites so that you can make edits in the future if preferred (you’d be surprised how rare this is). If you don’t want to be hands on, no problem. Hosting and support services will be seamlessly passed to Music City Technology so you have access to a full IT helpdesk versed on your website 8×5 M-F.

First, we schedule a call to go over goals, challenges, and project needs. The work begins once you accept our Terms & Conditions and purchase your Project Blueprint.

Design
Next, a detailed Project Blueprint is designed and delivered to you. The Project Blueprint provides a detailed, actionable plan outlining the project’s timeline, cost estimates, and implementation steps. It gives you full ownership and the flexibility to move forward in a way that best suits your needs.

Engage
The Project Blueprint will include an area to approve the implementation. Once signed, the project will be active, and I’ll take care of the rest.
Prefer to manage the project in-house or explore other bids? No problem! You own the Project Blueprint, including its intellectual property, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your needs.

Simple TME (time materials & expenses) based hourly rate – starting at $250 per hour.
project blueprints
Non-Standard projects require the purchase of a $500 Project Blueprint. This is a deliverable that provides a detailed, actionable plan outlining the project’s timeline, cost estimates, and implementation steps. Like buying plans from an architect, you are purchasing a highly detailed Scope of Work that is yours to keep.

We don’t live in a perfect world and sometimes changes are needed. When revisions or additional consulting are needed, we simply add up the time that is outside of the original project scope.

Is Scoped an IT Provider (MSP)?
An MSP (Managed Services Provider) is essentially an outsourced IT department for your organization. On paper an MSP should be able to handle most of your IT needs from proactive maintenance to reactive help desk support.
In 2014 Ryan Anderson and I (Samuel French) formed Music City Technology. At its infancy, MCT often took on projects that fell outside of the typical scope of an MSP.
As MCT’s client base grew, we had to put some restrictions on what could be supported long term to ensure that clients received the highest level of support.
This is where Scoped comes in!
Historically, I took lead on the majority of the out-of-scope projects tackled by MCT. These projects included digital forensic recovery, graphic design, web development, video editing, CRM development, and API integrations just to name a few.
Scoped Consulting gives Music City Technology a place to send those niche requests that would otherwise be turned away. And on the flip side, MCT provides a safe place to send customers for continued support and a highly available help desk during business hours.
This tight integration between Scoped Consulting and Music City Technology provides a seamless handoff from implementation to long term support.

My clients range from those with no technical background to IT providers needing fourth-tier expertise not available in-house. Scoped can be a safety net for those who wear the “IT” hat, or businesses that need an extra resource from time to time.
I’m especially passionate about helping people in the trades, where technology often feels like more of a headache than a help. My hope is to show how the right tools can actually make a noticeable difference.
Can I hire Scoped for one-off tasks, or do you only handle projects?
Absolutely. I’m happy to take on one-off tasks if they’re straightforward and can be handled quickly. For larger or more complex jobs, I use a project-based approach to ensure every step is well planned and executed. Once a project wraps up, I can connect you with ongoing support through Music City Technology if needed.
What’s the difference between hourly services and project-based services?
Any service that can be handled in one go without a lot of planning is billed at the hourly rate. If it’s something that can’t be knocked out in one sitting and needs planning, coordination, or multiple steps, it’s a project.
All projects require a Project Blueprint before implementation begins.
What is a Project Blueprint, and why do I need one?
A Project Blueprint is like a roadmap for your project. It spells out what needs to be done, how long it will take, and what it will cost. Once you have a Project Blueprint in hand you can lean on Scoped to implement, your team to handle internally, or even to send out for bids from other providers.
What is your hourly rate, and how is time tracked?
Our hourly rate starts at $250. You can save a bit by buying 5 or 10 hour blocks upfront. All hourly rate work is notated and attached before invoicing goes out.
