The way we use information in our businesses change over time. In the early 2000s there was a shift from paper records to digital. Shortly after, there was an explosion of industry specific software companies that popped up to ride the wave. Fast forward a decade later, a lot of those software companies were either acquired or went out of business.
Many companies still use industry standard app and software, but often hang onto the legacy software as a “just in case”. This often takes the form of an old dusty computer or server sitting in some back corner of the office.
If this sounds familiar, there’s good news. I’ve taken dozens antiquated systems and safely migrated the data to a safer, more secure, and easier to access platform.
It’s worth noting that these migrations are not a one size fits all project. Some companies still need daily access to the data, while others just need the peace of mind that it can be accessed in the future.
